My name is Pollie Scott. I am an artist who lives and works near the river Ouse in EastYorkshire. I live in a Victorian house which used to belong to my husbands 3x great Grandfather, a Sea Captain.
I was born in Cleckheaton, in the heart of West Yorkshire, but spent part of my childhood in Howden, East Yorkshire. I have held many exhibitions, both solo and with others. I used to have a studio in the Dock Galley, Goole, which was situated in the Old Shipping Offices, overlooking Aldam Dock. I also taught painting and craft to people with various disabilities at the Waterways Museum in Goole, which is on the canal side, near to the Marina. A lovely place to work!
I am married to illustrator Peter David Scott. I love to paint every day. At the moment I am working on a series of oil paintings on natural linen canvas.
I have a love of the mystical, fairy tales, Mermaids and Angels. But I also love to paint the natural world around me.
